Accessibility
How this website is built to be usable with a screen reader, a keyboard or at a larger text size, and how to tell us when something is not.
This page describes the rebuilt site. The previous version of it promised descriptive alt text on every image while the site it described had none on 163 of its 169 images. This page states what is actually true of the site you are looking at, and what is not yet done.
What we build to
This site is built to meet WCAG 2.1 level AA. Every page is tested automatically against that standard at three screen widths — 320, 390 and 1440 pixels — and the build is not released with a known violation outstanding.
That testing covers:
- Text contrast against its background, at AA ratios.
- Alternative text on every image. This is enforced when the site is built: a photograph added without a description fails the build rather than reaching you.
- Keyboard navigation. Every control can be reached and operated without a mouse, and the focused element is always visible.
- Tap targets of at least 44 by 44 pixels for standalone controls.
- Text that scales. Nothing here disables pinch-zoom, and the layout holds when text is enlarged.
- Headings and landmarks in a real order, so a screen reader can navigate the page by structure.
What is not done yet
Automated testing catches a great deal, but not everything. We have not yet completed a manual review with a screen reader.

Tell us
If something here is difficult to use with a screen reader, a keyboard, or at a larger text size, please tell us on +1 (252) 588-3126 or info@seahorseinnobx.com. That is a fault we want to fix, not a complaint we want to manage.
